I love the beach, this is my happy place.
Photo reference is from the beach in Far Rockaway, NY when my boys were much younger.
I love vibrant colors! When I was painting the background it reminded me of sunsets with gold and how the sun shimmers off the water. Using glitter in my work helps me capture that beauty and adds depth and texture, as I play with colors and add more layers.
Use of the infinity symbol is a recurring theme in my artwork and brushstrokes, especially when I am painting the background. I do believe in the infinity of life and spirit. The connectivity and endless flow of energy. I love that the autism community has embraced this symbol! We are an autism family with two of our boys on the spectrum so I love that I get to spread acceptance, love and awareness through my art.
